We’ve made another quiz for the National Trust

You may recall that we recently conceived, built and implemented an interactive quiz game for the National Trust. Well, we’ve done it again! 

Following the success of our guess the property quiz we built a new one, where users are tasked with identifying some of Britain’s flora and fauna, and since everyone did so well in the last quiz we made it devilishly tricky, how well do you know your nature? Take the test below.

Check out this quiz we built for the National Trust

For any brand getting meaningful engagement from social followers is at times tricky. Sure, you can keep posting statuses about the football or pictures of office parties, but sometimes such things can begin to feel a bit stale to your audience, meaning you need to try something innovative and different in order to garner a better response. 

We decided to try something new for the followers of the National Trust South West’s social channels, by setting them a bit of a challenge: just how many of the National Trust’s iconic landmarks could they identify? 

In order to do so, we built an interactive quiz that asked users to name different South West locations from just one picture. At the end of the quiz, users were given a score their score as well as one of three, unique, graded results complete with humour caption.

Users were then given the option to share their result on social media — encouraging their own followers to attempt the quiz, which in turn would prolong the lifetime of the content and help the National Trust South West's engage with even more social users.

Vivid creates shiny new Polystream’s website

Polystream offer something pretty amazing. Their unique service can stream complex 3D software from any cloud-based system, without any installation or downloads. Games, simulations, CAD and much more can all be streamed to the end user in a matter of a couple of seconds. We know! We don’t know how they’ve managed such technological witchcraft either. 

Obviously with such techn know-how from the Polystream brainiacs it was an absolute privilege to be chosen to design and build a new website for them. And here it is!

 

OmCap launches Vivid website

We are delighted to unveil a sparkling new website for our newest client, OmCap. Not heard of them? How very dare you – OmCap are financial and logistics wizards acting for clients who need to fund the purchase of what they call ‘big ticket items’. We thought a big ticket item meant a car or a washing machine, it turns out they mean entire fleets of commercial aircraft or container ships that are larger than some villages.

Vivid designed and built OmCap's website and new identity from the ground up. It stylishly conveys a potentially complex business in very a straightforward way and it's as sexy as hell. Much like the OmCap team themselves!

It's all 'bout the birds and the bees, and the flowers and the trees

We've just finished making another video for the National Trust South West. 

Our last 'how to' video was all about the bees, now we're teaching you about the birds (perhaps we got the order wrong?) specifically how you can build your own bird nesting box at home out of a single piece of wood!

Vivid unleash new website and branding for Newcross

Newcross Healthcare do all sorts of good deeds. From helping people find the right nurses and carers for their friends and family, when they need it most, to helping compassionate healthcare providers find their next job. All in all, they’re just pretty great at helping people. 

That’s why we were chuffed when they asked Vivid to help put together a brand-spanking new website and to give their identity a complete refresh. As you would expect from such a large healthcare provider, this was monumental task. And one that we relished. 

Newcross now has a modern and streamlined website that is easy to navigate for all their users. The end result features a universal job search for healthcare professionals; a branch finder and knowledge base, for those looking for help and information about healthcare and a modern blog so the people at Newcross can keep everyone updated with what they've been up to.

We were also tasked with refreshing the Newcross Healthcare brand identity which included creating a whole new logo for the organisation, new brand guidelines, all new building dressing, signage, brochures, magazines, stationery and even their new uniforms.

Putting a smile on the National Trust's most famous faces

The National Trust South West has a rather impressive collection of artwork, in fact their £30million Rembrandt self-portrait might even put Vivid Tower’s collection Mondo movie prints to shame. While all these old portraits are lovely…many of the the subjects in these paintings don’t half look grumpy. 

In the spirit of the summer arriving and blessing the UK with plenty of sunshine, bringing with it much joy. We thought we’d take advantage of last month’s must-have new app ‘FaceApp’ to put a smile on the faces of some of the National Trust’s most famous works of art. 

We also used the app's ‘age’ feature on some of the Vivid Team and now none of us are talking anymore but that’s a story for another day.

Take a peek at the website we created for Lisa Comfort

When it comes to making things look good, the delightful Lisa Comfort certainly knows a thing or two, which is why we hope she’ll be rather pleased with the website we’ve just created for her. 

The blogger and founder of the hugely popular ‘Sew Over It’ brand isn’t just an oracle of knowledge when it comes to sewing and sartorial matters. It turns out she’s a bit of a genius when it comes to craft and DIY things too. 

With so many ideas to share Lisa needed a new dedicated website, separate from Sew Over It. to house them all, and we were more than happy to oblige. The resulting site, built from the ground up in WordPress, includes distinct sub-sections to house all of her brilliant how-tos, travel guides and vlogs. 

On the site you will find a nearly inexhaustible stream of inspiration for wholesome actives you could complete on a rainy Sunday, to make you feel better about having spent the whole morning hungover in bed, we particularly like her guide to sprucing up the stairs with wallpaper.

Vivid launches App for Ramblin' Man Fair 2017!

Our latest brilliant client, Ramblin' Man Fair, put on a killer two day music festival every summer. In July, the world's best classic and prog rock, blues and country artists converge on a Maidstone field and make some noise. It's all tied together with an incredible selection of grub, grog and glamping — think craft ales, low’n’slow barbecued meats and ostrich burgers, craft beers, rare whiskey... you know the drill. The result is the perfect family-friendly weekend getaway for everyone out there who used to own a pair of leather trousers or denim vest.

And we should know. We were there a few months ago pitching an IOS and Android app that would help the 'ramblers' really get the most out of the festival – not your typical pitch setting, but better than most. And today we launch the fruits of our labour!
